Taboo

When

Your heart is still

Eyes burn

Hands tremble

And breath is shallow

You cry out with no sound

No voice

Shadows close in

Cause your knees gave up

One hero has abandoned you

Another snatched away

Your mistakes crush your rib cage

And the pain is loud

Like twigs on fire

Your limbs

Tears evaporate

And you long for a hug

Only the grave can provide…
